The mechanism of failure of The exhaust valves of internal combustion engine with domestic fuels and typical working parameters made by 21—4N and 4Cr10 Si2Mo steel was investigated with metallographic, SEM, X-ray diffration and electron probe methods. Especially~ the mophology, composition and the destruction process under cyclic stress of the surface corrosion protection layer were examined. Exhaust valves of both gasoline and Diesel engine are damaged by combine gas corrosion and fatigue stress, which caused the formation of pits. Experiments show that a surface treatment process forming a protective coating prevents the pit-formation and extends the service lives in se veral folds. The application of a type PSR-1 alloy coating by special coating equipment VF-79 can furnish economically very good anti-corrosion and antiwear properties service tests in land, river and sea transports pcove that this coating is good for both gasoline and Diesel engine valves and performs better than hard surfacing. This process has been commercialized recently.

作者用金相,扫描电子显微镜,X光衍射和电子探针分析技术对国产燃油与典型工况内燃机排气阀所用钢材21—4N与4Cr10Si2Mo的损坏机理进行了研究。着重检验了表面腐蚀保护膜的形貌,组成及其在反复应力作用下的破坏过程。无论汽油机或柴油机气阀,都是在燃气腐蚀与疲劳应力的联合作用下过早地产生所谓“麻坑”而损坏。试验已经充分证明:气阀上采用一种表面处理方法所得到的涂层可以有效地减少并推迟“麻坑”的产生,数倍地提高了使用寿命。本文研究了一种叫做PSR—1号的涂层合金及涂层工艺,在VF—79型气阀涂层专用设备上制备的涂层气阀具有很高的耐磨耐腐蚀性能,其全面技术经济指标均已超过传统堆焊阀。经陆路,内河与海洋广泛行驶考核证明,这种涂层无论对汽油机或柴油机排气阀均有极好的保护能力,目前已通过鉴定并正式投产使用。

The hot corrosion-fatigue resistance of three heat-resisting steels, namely: 4CrlOSi2Mo, 18SR, 20-14 and two alloy coatings Co-50, Ni-81 are studied in this paper. The hot corrosion-fatigue resistance of three heat-resisting steels, namely: 4CrlOSi2Mo, 18SR, 20-14 and two alloy coatings Co-50, Ni-81 are studied in this paper. The degree of corrosion failure is measured by depth of corrosion of samples. The hot corrosionfatigue failure process of various steels and the veasons for effective resisting hot corrosion-fatigue of two alloy coatings are investigated by means of metallography, X-ray diffraction and electron probe analysis techniques. In the "HCF" testing condition, it is found that:(1) The loose corrosion products on heat-resisting steels crack and flake away layer after layer. Sulphur and oxygen penetrate immediately into the interior of steels, with oxygen penetrateation deeper than that of sulphur. (2) The degree of hot corrosion-fatigue failure of the heat-resisting steels depends mainly on the type of their internal erosion zone. (3)A compact protective film is formed on the surface of alloy coatings, no matter it is Ni-base or Co-base alloy coatings. This test can be successfully applied to the study of coatings used for extending the service life of internal combustion engine exhaust valves.

本文以喷射盐水溶液的“HCF”全自动热腐蚀疲劳直接对比试验法,研究了4 Cr10Si2Mo.18SR、20—14三种耐热钢与Co—50、Ni—81两种合金涂层的抗热腐蚀疲劳性能。腐蚀程度的测量由合金的最大腐蚀深度来决定,并以金相、电子探针和X-光衍射技术研究了各钢种的热腐蚀疲劳破坏过程和两种涂层有效地抗热腐蚀疲劳的原因。在“HCF”热腐蚀疲劳试验条件下我们发现:①耐热钢具有三带侵蚀构造。疏松的腐蚀产物层层开裂脱落,毫无保护作用,硫与氧直接向合金内部侵入,氧甚至比硫侵入得更深。②耐热钢热腐蚀疲劳破坏的程度主要与合金内部侵蚀带的侵蚀类型有关。③无论Ni—基或Co—基合金涂层均能生成致密的抗热腐蚀疲劳表面保护膜。本试验结果已成功地指导了延长内燃机排气阀使用寿命的涂层研究工作。

In order to evaluate the possibility of applying cobalt alloy coating to the sliding-rolling contact friction pair under fluid lubrication condition, some experiments on the contact fatigue resistence were conducted for several kinds of cobalt alloy coatings. The test results show that among the cobalt alloy coatings investigated, Co-1 with lowest carbon content is the best. The mechanism for the contact fatigue resistance coatings were analysed and discussed based on stress analysis...

The test results show that among the cobalt alloy coatings investigated, Co-1 with lowest carbon content is the best. The mechanism for the contact fatigue resistance coatings were analysed and discussed based on stress analysis and micro-structure observation by using TEM. An empirical formula for estimating fatigue life and the depth of alloy coating is derived from the experimental results.

为了探索Co基合金涂层应用于在润滑条件下工作的滚滑接触摩擦付的可能性,对于几种 Co基合金涂层的抗接触疲劳性能进行了试验。试验结果表明:在所研究的 Co基合金涂层中,含有最低碳量的Co-1合金涂层有最好的抗接触疲劳性能,根据应力分析和应用透射电子显微镜进行微观结构的观察,对Co基合金涂层抗接触疲劳的机理进行了分析和讨论,而且用试验结果推算了估计疲劳寿命和 Co基合金涂层深度的公式。
