Synthesis of Fe-substituted CoSb3-based skutterudite Co4-xFexSb12 by mechanical alloying-hot pressing-annealing
      
Mechanical alloying and preparation of Fesubstituted CoSb3-based skutterudite Co4-xFexSb12 (x?1) were studied.
      
All the compositions showed similar kinetics in mechanical alloying, where the skutterudite phase was kinetically more favorable than CoSb2 phase initially.
      
A single phase skutterudite structure could not be obtained via mechanical alloying.

M2 high speed steel has many sorts and shapes of eutectic carbides which are due to the variation in the conditions of solidification, alloying or heat treatment. This paper shows that colour metallographic tests can conveniently be used to clearly identify the kinds of the eutectic carbides in M2 high speed steel,and to study the reaction of decomposition of M2C carbide at elevated temperatures,and also to distinguish the phase containing rich B from other phases.

The avdance in applications of niobium as alloying elements in steel, copper and Ti-based alloys has been brienfly reviewed. The progresses in applications and developments of Nb-based superalloy, oxidation resistance Nb-based alloy, Nb-matrix composite and niobic acid catalysts have been also introduced.

he influence of alloying composition on the mechanical properties of Ti811 alloy rods was studied.The results show that the mechanical properties of Ti811 alloy are subject to alloying. composition.These properties include tensile properties at room temperature and high temperature,thermal stability, impact elasticity, creep properties and netched lasting properties.The variety of microstructures was investigated with the help of TEM and SEM techniques.

研究了合金成分Al、Mo、V含量变化对Ti811(Ti-8Al-1Mo一1V)合金棒材性能的影响。结果表明:Ti811合金的性能受合金成分的支配。随合金成分Al、Mo、V含量的变化,Ti811合金的室温拉伸性能、高温拉伸性能、热稳定性能、冲击韧性、蠕变性能和缺口持久性能均有明显的升高或降低。同时应用TEM和SEM等技术研究了相应微观结构的变化。
