Through the analysis and comparison of the data sampled in period algorithm and in adaptive algorithm, we find that the new adaptive algorithm can trace the burst of network delay better,on the other hand it also can reduce whole workload rapidly.

文章提出了一种测量网络延迟的自适应采样算法,针对周期性延迟采样不能很好地根据当前网络状态调整采样频率这一缺点,自适应采样算法以延迟变化率作为动态控制采样频率的主要指标。通过对自适应和周期性采样算法实际测量中测得的数据进行比较分析,自适应算法能根据网络当前状态调整采样频率,不仅能有效地跟踪到延迟突变,而且还可以从总体上大大减少采样工作量。
