The researches on reservoir have entered a new stage of quantitatirization, architecturization and modelization, and the concrete contents of development include the following several aspects: (1) the researches on secondary pore zone in depth, micrs-pore reservoir, lower permeable reservoir and the heterogeneity of reservoir; (2) the researches on geometric morphlolgy, terture, gen-sis and evolution of reservoirs, so as to reveal the characteristics, distribution regularity and controlling factors of reservoirs; (3)types of reservoirs and reservoir description; (4) geological and geochemical simulating of reservoirs ; (5) the study of three dimensional architecture of reservoirs and division of various architecture units, etc.
