Molecular ecology is a new, multi-level and multi-disciplinary scienceand peripheral science, with physical ecology and chemical ecology as its theoreti-cal basis. It provides conditions for approaches to opening a new field of science orcreating new school of theory. Based on the theory of molecular equilibrium (solu-tion equilibrium, acid-alkali equilibrium and ionization equilibrium), it bringsabout the quantization of the conception of environmental diversity in theecosystems of atmosphere, water and soil. For revealing the theoretical basis ofmolecular ecology, the author makes a general introduction to physical ecologyand chemical ecology. Its research is oriented to make the anatomy, histology-biophysiology, biophysics and biochemistry-behavior ecology become a series offunctional science and program science. In China the research on molecular ecologyin light of forestry began in 1980s. The author has published several articles on itand has conducted some researches on it, such as "researches on the dynamic equi-librium of physical energy in the ecosystem of hardwood - Korean pine forests",and "researches on the chemical ecology of N circulation in forest ecosystem".Finally, he makes a prediction of the development trend in molecular ecology.

Aiming at the molecular ecological aspects of the relationship of dual viral infection, we studied the interfering effects of HCMV on the antigen expression of HSV-1 in HEL cell by immuno-gold preembeded labelling electron microscopy and immunofluorescence assay. Aiming at the molecular ecological aspects of the relationship of dual viral infection, we studied the interfering effects of HCMV on the antigen expression of HSV-1 in HEL cell by immuno-gold preembeded labelling electron microscopy and immunofluorescence assay. Total number of special conjugated gold particles and IF postive cell were recorded and compared. There were highly statisfically significant difference between the dual (HGMV+HSV-1) and single (HSV-1) viral infection groups. The difference in CPE was also studied. The conclusion of this study is that HCMV showed a significant interfering effect on the antigen expression of HSV-1. The possible mechanism of interference and the meaning regarding the so-called molecular ecology was discussed.
