The research of parallel software development environment is becomming more and more important in parallel computing and parallel processing. This paper gives an introduction of the portable message passing environment PVM, and the PVM graphical monitoring envioriment XPVM, expounds the difference between the XPVM environment and the practical PVM parallel debuggiTlg ellvironment, then probes into technological difficulties and design requirements in Parallel debugging environment.

After analyzing the present research and development of parallel debugging, this paper presents the basic functions for a parallel debugging environment, and then probes into the technological difficulties and design requirements in a PVM based parallel debugging environment.

本文通过分析目前并行调试技术的研究和发展,阐述了并行调试环境所应具备的基本功能,并在此基础上探讨了PVM并行调试环境的设计和关键技术
