Virtual prototyping is an effective method for collaborative simulation and verification of product design information in virtual environment. It can effectively supports concurrent design and shortens product development cycle. This paper analyzes the relationship between virtual prototyping and concurrent design.

In this paper we use the theory of multivariate error analysis to discuss the expression of covariance matrix of computed satellits position with astronomical method. The relation between the accuracy and the relative positions of the reference stars with respect to satellite, and that between the accuracy and the position of satellite synthetic points in the interpolation segment are discussed. The estimated formulas are derived.
