This paper proposes a new filtering and enhancing scheme based on neighbour feature and edge direction in spatial domain. On the algorithm, we use the median filter that srppresses impules noise and preserves edge well by dividing the filtering window, and consider the resolution of smooth region. Theoretical analysis and computer simulation results have shown that the performance of the filter proposed here is better than that of the median filter, α-trimmed mean filter and Winsorized mean filter in the noise suppressing and edge preserving. A hardware realization is discussed. This algorithm is simulated on the PCVISION image system.

本文提出了一种在空间域根据图像的邻域特性和边缘方向信息进行滤波与增强的方法。该方法利用图像的结构信息,对噪声进行分区处理,克服了传统线性滤波器引起的边缘模糊和细节损失。在算法实现上,充分发挥中值滤波器滤除脉冲干扰能力强,边缘保持好的优点。从而使恢复图像边缘和细节清晰。理论分析和计算机仿真结果表明,本文提出的滤波器结构在噪声滤波和边缘保持方面优于中值滤波,α-裁剪均值滤波、Winsorized均值滤波,建立了一种崭新的硬件方案。(本算法已在PCVISION图像系统上仿真。)

This paper proposes a new filter for edge enhancing of noisy image, which is called as winsorized mean filter (WMEN, W—filter). It can enhance image edge while suppressing noise components by edge detection and filtering window divided. Output image of W—filter can be provided with excellent resolution and fidelity in smooth region and refrain from false edge using conventional method in edge region, and improve of the image. Theortieal analysis and experimental results have shown that W—filter can enhance any edge shape blurred by noise. The method the paper puts forward can achive oplimization for filtering noise and edge enhancing. Experimental results have supported the conclusion for 1—D and 2—D signal.

In this paper, we proposed a new scheme on low bit rate video coding which called Edge-based Model.There are three new ideas:i)A source model based on edge information is introduced which try to divide image infomation into sensitized region and smooth region by objects'structures.ii) The gray value distribution within sensitized region is fitted and represented by 3degree normal form polynomials while smooth region is described by a program of "Run-lengthscanning and normal forms fitting".iii) New concepts of model match and general motion analysis are introduced and used for prediction coding of inter-frames.Experimental results show that the subjective quality of reconstructed pictures are excellent at 0.075 bit-per-pei.

提出了一种称为边缘模型基的低比特率图像编码方法,其基本特点是:1)建立一种基于图像边缘信息的活动图像信源模型,按照图像中物体的结构将图像划分为激励区和缓变区(平滑区)。2)用三阶规范式拟合图像激励区的灰度分布,以“激程扫描─规范式拟合”表达图像的缓变区。3)引入了模型匹配与广义运动分析概念,并用干帧间图像预测编码。实验结果表明:在保持重建图像质量的前提下,每像素的比特数可压缩至0.075。
