The effects of chill and drought hardening on survival %, leaf lethal temperature (LT_(50)), chlorophyll content, electrolyte leakage % and photosynthetic rale in the clones of hybrid japonica (Nannong 521)at low temperature were studied. For drought, chill and drought plus chill hardened seedlings, their survival % at chilling temperature increased obviously, and leaf LT_(50) decreased by 1.6℃, 1.8℃ and 2.2℃, respectively as compared with nonhardened seedlings. For drought, chill and drought plus chill hardened seedlings, their survival % at chilling temperature increased obviously, and leaf LT_(50) decreased by 1.6℃, 1.8℃ and 2.2℃, respectively as compared with nonhardened seedlings. The hardened seedlings could maintain higher chlorophyll content and photosynthetic rate, lower electrolyte leakage % at chill temperature. These results indicated that chilling sensitive plant —rice, may increase its resistance to chilling and freezing by chill and drought hardening. The data from the winter survival tests in a simple breeding ground were consistent with the above mentioned results.

本文研究了低温和干旱锻炼对杂交粳稻无性系在低温下的存活率,叶片致死温度(LT50),叶绿素含量,净光合速率和电解质渗漏率的影响。经过低温、干旱或低温加干旱锻炼的稻苗,在5/5℃下4天的存活率明显增加,叶片LT50比未锻炼稻苗分别下降了1.8℃、1.6℃和2.2℃。锻炼过的稻苗在零上低温下能保特较高的叶绿素含量和净光合速率,较低的电解质渗漏率。试验结果表明:冷敏植物——水稻可以通过低温锻炼和干旱锻炼而增强其抗冷性和抗冻性。稻苗在简易温床中越冬存活试验的结果与上述实验室结果基本一致。
