There is an upper limit of pressure, over which the ion collector current of EG is saturated. It is found that evan at the 10~(-8) Torr range, the EID phenomenon of BA gauge is manifestable. At the highest vacuum obtainable (0.3×10~(-11) Torr), we measured the collector current Ic v.s. the grid to filament voltage U_B curve, and by plotting it on a log scale and extrapolating the straight portion of the curve to the working voltage, we determined the soft X-ray current at working voltage, and found it to correspond to 1×10~(-12) Torr, which is consistent with the calculated value from the formula recommended by Redhead. A discussion on the validity of the extrapolation method is given. Finally, a suggestion on the grid structure of EG which might increase the sensitivity considerably is noted.

A technique for nonlinear analysis of space grids is presented . Considering factors such as complex strain-stress relations of structural materials, various types of cross-sectional shape of members, initial curvature and initial eccentricity of members, and partial elastic unloading of the sections of struts, this integration method extends the application range of nonlinear analysis, and improves the accuracy of the analysis.

给出了一种新的空间网架非线性分析方法。其中,压杆的荷载变形关系曲线计算部分采用了数值积分法,结构分析计算部分采用增量变刚度法。采用新的数值积分法可以考虑复杂的材料应力应变关系,杆件的任意截面形状、杆件初偏心、初弯曲和压杆截面局部弹性卸载等各种情况,扩大了现有分析方法的应用范围,提高了分析精度。
