The results of inoonlation,morphology,temperature test of Verticillium separated from eggplant in villege Hongqiao,Minghang district showed the disease was Verticillium dahliae kleb.Its semifinishedtoxin was made by cultivating the disease in Czapek's culture solution.The crude toxin could poison effectively the seedling of eggplant.After 42 hours'treatment of the toxin at 60℃,the toxicity still kept constant.

The artificial inoculation test indicated that the disease index of grafted seedlings decreased by 55.4 than that of the CK. The field trials showed that no disease plant was found for the grafted plants in the plasticcovered field in early spring in 1995 and 1996. About...

The eggplant cultivar‘Liu Ye Qie’( S. melogana ) was grafted on Sisymbriumleaf Nightshade ( S. Sisymbriifolium Lam),a resistant stock for increasing resistance to Verticillium wilt of eggplant ( Verticillium dahliae ). The artificial inoculation test indicated that the disease index of grafted seedlings decreased by 55.4 than that of the CK. The field trials showed that no disease plant was found for the grafted plants in the plasticcovered field in early spring in 1995 and 1996. About 90% of grafted seedlings were alive and grew normally. It proved that there was high affinity between the resistant stock and the grafting. The strong root system of grafted plants promotes the growth of the organs above the soil and as a result the yield was increased. The yields of grafted eggplants increased by 35.1% in 1995 and 26.8% in 1996 under the plastic-condition.

利用茄属野生种粘毛茄作砧木,六叶茄为接穗进行嫁接,探讨嫁接对茄子抗黄萎病能力及生长发育的影响。经接种鉴定,嫁接苗比六叶茄自根苗(CK)病情指数下降55.4,春大棚生产试验中,嫁接苗未发现病株,表明嫁接能显著提高茄子对黄萎病的抗性;砧木与接穗之间有较强的亲和性,嫁接苗成活率3年平均达89.6%,且嫁接苗根系极其发达,根体积超过对照1倍以上,明显促进了地上部各器官的生长,果实产量显著提高,1995、1996年嫁接苗茄子产量分别比对照增产35.1%和26.8%。

Grafting significantly reduced the disease incidence and disease index of Verticillium wilt in eggplant.After infecting,both electrolytic leakage and proline content increased,but the content of grafted eggplant were signi ficantly lower than that of CK.The PAL activity kept a high level in grafted plants.The relationship between disease resistance and electrolyic leakage,proline content and PAL activity in grafted eggplant was discussed.

嫁接可显著降低茄子黄萎病的发病株率和病情指数。在感病逆境条件下,相对电导率、脯氨酸含量增高,但增高的程度,嫁接茄子极显著低于CK。说明嫁接可有效阻止病原菌的侵染及在体内的扩展,致使以积累脯氨酸来缓解病菌侵害的作用减弱。嫁接后植株体内PAL活性明显升高,并保持较高的活性水平,这可能是嫁接茄子表现抗病的重要生理原因之一。
