The rolling process of shape slab is simulated numerically by rigid plastic finite element method (R.P.FEM). The constraint relationship between velocity components of nodal points on the side sloping interface is discussed. The spread at transverse dicection of the slab,the metal filled degree at ribs,during the rolling were obtained by the modeling, and the results are in good agreement with the experimental data. The metal flow field in the slabs is also presented and discussed.
