:In this paper the concept of noninteger Fourier transform is introduced to expand the conventional integer domain Fourier transform to noninteger domain.The noninteger Fourier transform of rectangular function is used to describe the evolution process of optical fields from object plane to spectrum plane in quadratic gradedindex(GRIN)media.
