They first abolished their old textbooks and then retained what is useful in it in a critical way. Editor's Note: In recent years, the broad masses of teachers at our university have been going deep in practice and learning from workers, peasants and soldiers. They first abolished their old textbooks and then retained what is useful in it in a critical way. Innovating through practice, they have written a series of new textbooks, among which "Transistor Circuits" is one. The editing group of this textbook considers the suppression of drift plays an important role in the production of a high quality d. c. amplifier. The old textbooks did not offer any realistic solution to this problem which arised from production. Some authors(1)(2) have discussed this problem, but they all end up fundamentally at the same level of the equation (4-20) referred to in the new textbook. This equation tells the relationship between drift and some transistor parameters, but fails to explain it in a quantitative way. In order to enable the students to acquire knowledge that can guide them through productive activities, the editing group, with the help of the latest achievements of scientific works at home and abroad, have clarified the above mentioned quantitative relationship after carrying out a series of experiments. This attempt of theirs in the field of educational revolution has enabled them to write the following as a section of the "Transistor Circuits".

几年来,我校广大教师深入实际,向工农兵学习,对旧教材破字 当头,在批判中继承,在实践中创新,初步编写了一批新教材。下面选载的是 新编教材《晶体管电路》中的一节。 该书的编写组认为,抑制零点漂移是制作高质量直流放大器的一个重要课 题。旧教材对于这样一个从生产中提出来的问题并未切实解决。有些专 著[1],[2]讨论了这个问题,但基本上与本文公式(4-20)相似。这个公式从理 论上解释了零点漂移与晶体管若干参数之间的关系,可是仍然没有给出零点漂 移与晶体管选配要求之间的定量关系。为了使学员学到的知识对生产实践确有 一定的指导意义,他们吸收了国内外著作中较新的科学内容,并通过实验,初 步弄清了上述关系,在教育革命的实践中写出了这部分新教材。

Zinc metal is produced by the vertical retort process at the Huludao Zinc Plant. In the past decade, this smelter innovated in the roasting, briquetting and retort distillation techniques and their equipment, and built several large size retorts with production per retort of 20T/day. The recovery for distillation is 98.5-99%. The zinc contained in the briquette residue is less than 1%. The output per square meter heated retort wall is 200kg/m~2.day. This paper describes the major technological innovations in the past few years at this smelter, with emphasis on the construction features of the large size retort and the main operating conditions, and compares the merits and demerits of some types of retorts. This paper also indicates the future technological development trends of this smelter, and presents the bright prospects of vertical retort zinc smelting based on using low cost coal as a main energy source.

However these advantages have not been brought into p1ay owing to the fact that the development of the Changjiang River shipping has not been paid proper attention to, the comprehensive utilization of the water resources is far from sufficient, the shipping conditions are not so good, the construction of ports is backward, the management of shipping is bad. So the author suggests that the idea of "regarding land as superior to water" should be corrected, the relation between development and adjustment should be dealt with properly, the comprehensive utilization of water resources should be paid more attention to, the construction of ports and shipping channels should be improved, the management system should be innovated, and the laws of inland shipping should be drawn up.

我国长江航运有着得天独厚的自然条件。它具有运量大、投资省、不占农田、节省能源,劳动生产效率高等经济优势。但由于对长江航运缺乏应有的重视,水资源综合利用不够、通航条件差、港建落后、航政管理混乱等原因,其优势未能充分发挥。为此,作者提出了必须纠正“重陆轻水”的偏向,以及处理好发展和调整的关系,注意水资源综合利用,加强港口和航道的建设,改革管理体制,制定内河航运法规等建议。
