A new phenomemon of energy transfer from Eu2 +to Tb3 +in KCa F3 was observed. Valence stability of Eu2 +in KCa F3 is considered by susceptibility method and spectral analysis. The results show that though valence of Eu2 +in KCa F3 is stable,Eu2 +ions easily change into Eu3 +in KCa F3 in the presence of minimal water.
