The author has studied and confirmed the rotational displacement of the fractured lateral condyle of humerus by roentgenography, operation, and autopsy. This fractured fragment is rotated forward along the longitudinal axis of the humeral shaft, the rotation may be almost 90°, moreover, it is also rotated forward on the sagittal plane, almost 90°too. The fracture of lateral condyle frequently complicated with subluxation or dislocation of the elbow joint, and that will also bring about the rotational displacement...

The author has studied and confirmed the rotational displacement of the fractured lateral condyle of humerus by roentgenography, operation, and autopsy. This fractured fragment is rotated forward along the longitudinal axis of the humeral shaft, the rotation may be almost 90°, moreover, it is also rotated forward on the sagittal plane, almost 90°too. The fracture of lateral condyle frequently complicated with subluxation or dislocation of the elbow joint, and that will also bring about the rotational displacement of the fragment. The closed reduction of fracture must depends upon the reverse direction of displacement, therefore, according to this prineiple, the author has succeeded in all cases of lateral condyle fracture by closed reduction and had satisfactory results.

Forty-two cases of femoral and humeral shaft fracture were treated by internal fixation with satic compression plate of Muller type and Zimmer Type. The follow-up study revealed satisfactory results. Forty-two cases of femoral and humeral shaft fracture were treated by internal fixation with satic compression plate of Muller type and Zimmer Type. The follow-up study revealed satisfactory results. The main advantages of this type of internal fixation are.it can maintain anatomical reduction firmly, increase the compression force between fracture ends and the friction between bone and plate, so that the internal fixation can be more stable and early ambulation can be started. Finally, fracture healing and limb function can be achieved simultaneously. The authors emphasized the fundamental principles of compression fixation and AO rules. The advantages and disadvantages, the indications and complications in the utilization of compression plate were discussed.

应用国产 Muller型及Zimmer 型静力性加压钢板治疗42例长管状骨骨折,疗效满意,其主要优点是:减少断端间裂隙,增加骨折端间的接触和对向挤压,保证骨折端的解剖复位,增加断端间及钢板与骨面间的摩擦力和抗扭强度而维持牢靠的内固定,有利于受伤肢体早期进行主动活动,达到骨折愈合与肢体功能恢复并进。
