    This paper presents the results of correlation analysis between the data of energetic particle pulses obtained by IMP-J spacecraft (P4: 230keV>.E>160keV) and auroral electrojet index AE. The magnetotail is devided into three regions: neutral sheet region, low latitude region and high latitude region. It is found that: (1) In the neutral sheet region, the average energetic particle fluxes is the highest among all three regions. In the high latitude region the fluxes is the lowest. This indicates that the "source"...

    This paper presents the results of correlation analysis between the data of energetic particle pulses obtained by IMP-J spacecraft (P4: 230keV>.E>160keV) and auroral electrojet index AE. The magnetotail is devided into three regions: neutral sheet region, low latitude region and high latitude region. It is found that: (1) In the neutral sheet region, the average energetic particle fluxes is the highest among all three regions. In the high latitude region the fluxes is the lowest. This indicates that the "source" of energetic particle pulses may be located in the neatral sheet region. (2) The correlation between energetic particle pulses and AE index is most significant in the neutral sheet region, the correlation coefficient R is 0.59. In low and high latitude region, R decreases sharply. It coincide with the idea that energetic particle pulses event is substorm relevant event, the particles are accelerated by induced electric field caused by magnetic field line reconnection near the neutral sheet region. (3) Accelerated area is limited to a thin layer around neutral sheet, it coincides with Hones results.

    In this paper the restriction of the classica theory for tearing mode is discussed. It is suggested that the periodicity of tearing mode must be considered, and its induced electric field will meet the requirement of millisecond radio spikes in solar flares for energetic particles. So, it is a possible mechanism for particle acceleration. On the other hand, the period of tearing mode is in agreement with the time scale of a single spike, and the characteristic time of the exponential growth in tearing...

    The authr feels doubtful about the general correctness on the sonrce of induced electric field.the distribution of induced electric ficld.and eguation =×in the passage“Electromagnctic function and Relative movement”(of《Physics》by D·Halliday and R·Resnick). He raises three questios about them at the same time be putsforwords his own analysis based on the theory of the relativity change of quantity of electromagnetic field.

    笔者对 D.哈里德 R.瑞斯尼克著《物理学》“电磁感应与相对运动”一节中关于感生电场的来源、感生电场的分布和方程 E=V×B 的普遍正确性,提出了三点质疑,并根据电磁场量的相对论变换,作出了自己的分析.
