The threshold wind velocity of a number of variables was studied in four different land-use types: farm land, forestland, wild grassland and a flood plain in the Yongding River sandy land in Beijing.

西藏草原面积为84.3万平方公里,合12.6亿亩。目前牧养着2200多万头(只)牲畜,计草原载畜量4033.9万只绵羊单位,每只羊平均占有草原31.35亩。西藏草原的饲料供应季节不平衡和草原资源分布的空间不平十分严重,限制着草原家畜饲养量的进一步增长。但是从草原生产流程分折,通过改善经营管理,协调草原的供求关系,提高牧草转化畜产品的效率,草原生产能力在当前每百亩生产14.47公斤畜产品单位的基础上,按草原贮草量估计至少还可增加二倍多。

Experiments were carried out on 40 yak cows in the Pilian Range grassland,region of Northwest China at an altitude of about 8500 M.from beginning ofAugust to September in 1964.Yak cows requre the butting and suckling of their calves as a strong stimulusto induce milk ejection reflex.In a few animals,however,milking can he inducedby hand imperfectly.This reflex usually appeared periodically consisting of twophases.The latent period of first phase lasted about one minute and that of se-cond phase about 80 seconds.Milk in the cistern of yak cows between two milkings was only amounted toabout 7% of total volume.First phase of reflex milk constituted about 74.4%. second phase about 18.4%.After thorough milking,there was still retained in themilk gland abont 18% of the total.Volume and percentage of cistern milk was si-gnificantly higher in yak cow over 4 calving than that of heifer yaks.In most of the yak cows(about 75%)milk volume in the four quarters was lar-ger in posterior lobes than anteriors.The proportion and amount of various udderguarters in one milking were likewise distributed.Fat percentage of whole milk in experimental yak cows,on an average was5.9±0.9%,in cistern milk 2.1±1.1%,in reflex milk 5.9±1.8% and in residualmilk 9.0±1.9%.The fat percentage of yak cows was apparently higher than yakheifers.The number of milk fat globules averaged 1469±290 thousand per mm~3.The average diameter of fat globules was 5.2±1.8um.Teat sphincter maintained a high touns of above 400 mmHg negative pres-sure prior to milking reflex in over 90% yak cows.Following initiation of milkejection tension was significantly lowered and advancely lowered in second phaseof milk ejection reflex.Comparing the tonus of four teats sphincters it had beenshowed that the anterior pair of teats was higher than posteriors,and there wasno apparent ditfirence between teats of right and left sides.Following appea-rance of milk ejection reflex,the intracisternic pressure of yak cows rapidly in-creaseed from 3.82 to 32.82mmHg.

我国牦牛分布在青海、西藏,四川、甘肃、新疆、云南及内蒙等七省、区海拔2000~3500米以上的高山草原,共有1,200余万头,占世界牦牛总数(1,400万头)的858以上。家牦牛由野牦牛驯养而来,俗称野牦牛,有两种,一是Peophagus mutus pvz,另一种是家牦牛的退化型。牦牛有特异的解剖,生理特点、全身裹以长毛,能适应牧草生长季短、寒冷、空气中含氧最少的严酷的高山草原生态条件:但其生长呈现“夏饱、秋肥、冬瘦、春乏”的规律。牦牛属原始品种,有谷地和草原两个类型,另有全身白毛的突变型。牦牛多属兼用,无专一生产方向,生产性能低,产品数量少,但其质量好。用普通牛与牦牛杂交,可获得生产性能好的种间杂种犏牛,但其雄性无生育力。牦牛应用普通牛冷冻精液配种成功。扩大了杂种的获得和进一步提高了杂种后代的生产性能。
