When considering the motion perpendicular to the surface of the disk and the three-dimensional distribution of physical quantities, we obtain the correspondent dispersion relation and point out that the wave lengths of the density waves between the Lindblad resonance circle and the Lindblad corotation circle...

Finally, the spiral arm of the galaxy is calculated in an example by using the Schmidt pattern data. The result indicates that the wave equation in the galactic surface is in accordance with the result of the actual observations and the density wave lengths over the galactic surface, or under it, slightly increase with increasing the distance from the galactic surface. The variation of the density wave lengths with altitude may explain the following facts observed:(1)The widths of optical spiral arms among many spiral galaxies are very great.(2)The boundaries between the optical spiral arms in a majority of spiral galaxies are not very clear.(3)The outsides of the external optical spiral arms in some spiral galaxies decrease sharply in brightness while the insides are, generally, comparatively indistinct. The variation of the density wave lengths with altitude mainly results from the decrease of the density with altitude and is associated with the thermodynamical process undergone by the simulated gas.

This paper describes a laser scanning technique used for dynamic measurement of optical fiber diameter and a new point by point comparison-technique used for controlling optical fiber diameter. For optical fibers with outer diameters of 50μm to 250μm, the error of measurement is within ±0.5%. The results are displayed numerically and converted into simulative signals which control effectively the drawing velocity of a drawing machine, thereby ensuring the uniformity of fiber diameter.

本文介绍光纤直径动态测量中采用的激光扫描技术以及纤径控制中采用的逐点比较式新技术.对于直径为50~250微米的光纤,测量误差在±0.5%以内.结果以数字形式显示,并转换成模拟信号,有效地控制光纤拉丝机的拉丝速度,从而保证了光纤直径均匀.
