In this article we are going to talk about some technical applications of field emission that has been well-developed in other countries, some of them are related with our own works in the past. We had tested field emission microscope and field emission tube in the early years of 1960s' and measured the decay rate of field emission current by intermediate applying voltage method, together with flash filament method, to assure the partial pressure and the possible kind of the active gas, The maximum pulse current density measured for large conicangle W-tip (60°) is approximately produced 2.2;x 10~8A/cm~2. We tested the dulling rate of W-tip by heating to high t emperature. and examined the "d. c. bias field" method that keeps the radius of W-tip quite stable. We produced two prototypes of field emission flash X-ray tubes with combtype cathode at 1966, which gave 90 A pulsed current at 63 KV, 1μs, Since 1969, one of the writers together with others have made a series of flash X-ray tubes (with power supply) in our country, their voltages are 100KV, 400KV, 1MV, 1.5MV respectively, with pulse current 4KA at 40ns, They are used in many fields. We are interested in the theory of plasma field emission suggested by EHCOH (USSR). One of the writers is also interested in various kinds of field emission cathodes and the development of FEM and FIM.
