Self-lubricating composites are very effective for increasing the service life of friction pairs in some machines.This paper deals with the self-lubricating properties of hot-pressed Ni-MoS_2 composites in air at room tempetarure and elevated temperatures,when they are frictionally coupled with reciprocating sliding ball of GCr15 bearing steel.The effects of load, temperature and MoS_2 content on friction coefficient and wear rate have been investigated respectively.The morphologies of wear tracks have been examined under scanning electron microscope (SEM). The results show that the friction coefficient increases continuously with the increasing of load, and can be kept at lower level until the temperature is elevated to 400℃ the composite containing 60% MoS_2 possesses the lowest wear rate at both room temperature and 250℃. The increase of MoS_2 content is beneficial to improving the high temperature self-lubricating property of the composites. It is suggested that the homogenity and integrity of MoS_2 transfer film formed on the frictional surfaces can be as the evaluation criterion of the self-lubricating property of Ni-Mo S_2 composites.

采用自润滑复合材料,对提高某些机械摩擦副的使用寿命有很显著的效果。研究了热压Ni-MoS_2自润滑复合材料与GCr15钢球组成的点接触配对副,在室温和高温条件下进行微幅往复摩擦运动时的自润滑特性。考察了载荷、温度及MoS_2含量对摩擦系数和磨损率的影响,并借助扫描电镜观察磨损表面的形貌特征。结果表明:摩擦系数随载荷增加而不断提高;温度在400℃以下时,摩擦系数能保持较低数值;在室温和250℃时,含60%MoS_2的复合材料均具有最低磨损率;提高MoS_2含量有助于改善高温自润滑性;MoS_2转移润滑膜的完整程度可作为Ni-MoS_2复合材料自润滑性能好坏的判据。

The application practicabi lity of MoS2 contained compOsite materials on unidirectionalsliding condition has been intensively investigated in the past。However,there are many frictionalcomponents suffering from reciprocating sliding in practical engineering.This Paper dealt with theseif-lubricating property and anti-wear mechanism of hot- pressed Ni-MoS2 composites inreciprocating friction, The formation process and morphological characteristics of MoS2 films onboth surfaces of the composite disk and its mating GCr 15 steel ball were studied by analyzing themorphology and microarea com pOsition of the wear scar under scanning electron microscoope(SEM).The results showed that the MoS2 lubricating films with lamellar structure were formed onboth su rfaces of the mating pair in way of fatigue flaking,transfer,adhesion and piling up。 Theeffect of MoS2 content on the self-lubricating property of Ni-MoS2 composite dependeds maiuly onwhether uniform and stable lubricating films could be formed on both of the mating surfaces,andthe composite containing 60%(wt) MoS2 possessed the optimum self-lubricating property。 Thefatigue flaking of the MoS2 film formed successively on Ni-MoS2 composite attributed to theformation of MoS2 transfer film on the mating metal surface,turning the friction between compositeand metal into that between MoS2 films;as a result,the self-lubricity of Ni-MoS2 compeite wasachieved。 It was drawn that the Ni-MoS2 composite was a kind of satisfactory self- lubricatingmaterial for application to reciprocating sliding conditions。

对于含MoS2的复合材料在单向滑动摩擦条件下的实用性能,人们已经进行了比较多的研究,然而好多摩擦部件在工程实际中经受的却都是往复摩擦。为了探明热压Ni-MoS2复合材料的自润滑性能及其耐磨机理,在往复摩擦条件下研究了这种材料盘表面和偶件GCr15钢球表面之MoS2膜的形成过程与形貌特征,并且利用扫描电子显微镜等观察分析了MOS2膜的磨损表面形貌及其微区成分。结果表明,在给定的往复摩擦条件下,对偶双方表面都形成了具有层状结构的MoS2润滑膜,这种膜是通过疲劳剥落、转移、粘附与叠压等方式所形成;MoS2含量对Ni-MoS2复合材料自润滑性能的影响,主要取决于它是否能够在对偶双方表面形成分布均匀而稳定的润滑膜,含60%(wt)MoS2的复合材料的自润滑性能最好;Ni-MoS2复合材料的自润滑性是通过其表面MoS2膜的连续生成与疲劳剥落,并在偶件表面形成转移膜,使复合材料与金属间的摩擦变成复合材料表面MoS2膜与偶件表面MoS2膜之间的摩擦所实现。由此可见,Ni-MOS2复合材料是适合在往复摩擦运动场合应用的一种性能良好的自润滑复合材料。

A new bilayer film photoreceptor for xerox machine has been invented in China,it is an amorphous hydrogenated carbon (a C∶H)/amorphous selenium (a Se) bilayer film photoreceptor.In order to investigate its wear and scuffing resistances,friction and wear contrast tests have been carried out for the (a C∶H/a Se)/steel and the a Se/steel plates with steel rod covered with paper in a SRV friction and wear testing equiiment,which was in reciprocating sliding at line contact.These tests were simulated the mechanical wear and scuffing situatin of the photoreceptor in a xerox machine.It is showed that the wear and scuffing resistances of the a C∶H/a Se bilayer film are much better than those of a Se film.These worn surfaces have been observed with a scanning electron microscope (SEM).It is found that there are some wear debris obly in the a C∶H film for the bilayer film under thee given testing condition,the a Se film was protected very well;but the a Se film which was not covered by a rotective a C∶H film damaged heavily.There are iron atoms derived from the metallic substrate in the worn surface of the a Se ffilm with a X ray energy dispersed spectroscopy (EDS).The good triboligical properties of the a C∶H/a Se bilayer film have been explained based on analysis of infrared (IR) absorption spectra recorded in the a C∶H film on the a Se film.These results showed that the damage and destruction of the harder a C∶H film can be delayed by the softer a Se film,the softer film plays a solid lubricant role between the harder a C∶H film and harder steel.This is soft film sandwich solid lubrication mechanism.

为了考察非晶碳氢/非晶硒(a-C∶H/a-Se)复印感光体的耐磨和抗擦伤性能,用线接触往复滑动摩擦试验,模拟感光体承受的机械摩擦状况,对(a-C∶H/a-Se)/45#钢和a-Se/45#钢试样进行了对比试验研究.结果表明,a-C∶H/a-Se双层膜的耐磨性和抗擦伤能力均比a-Se单层膜的好.扫描电子显微镜观察发现:在给定的试验条件下,双层膜中只有a-C∶H膜产生了磨痕,而a-Se膜保持完好;相反,无a-C∶H膜保护的a-Se单层膜的擦伤严重,而且在a-Se涂层磨痕处的X射线能量色散谱中显示有微量的基体金属元素Fe存在.根据a-C∶H膜中原子团的红外光谱分析结果,还对a-C∶H/a-Se双层膜良好的摩擦磨损性能作了解释:比较软的a-Se膜延缓了比较硬的a-C∶H膜的损伤破碎,前者在后者与硬钢基体间起着固体润滑作用,这是软夹层固体润滑机制
