In. this paper, the effects of the bond-slip and the cracking models on analytical results are analysed. A good agreement is achieved from the comparison of analytical and experimental results of 31 reinforced concrete beams.

This paper introduces briefly the state-of-the-art of the interface behavior between soil and structural materials, including the various interface elements, the constitutive models of interface, the typical results from the static and cyclic direct shear tests for the behavior of various soil and concrete interface. and the influence of interface behavior on the interaction of soil-structure system. Some viewpoints are proposed to the future development in the field.
