This paper describes a method of measuring the small frequency shift of a resonant cavity, as a perturbation is introduced in it. This is an important problem on the measurement of R/Q of a cavity or the interaction impedance of a slow wave Structure. The method is based on the principle of automatic frequency tunning, i.e. tunning a reflex klystron oscillator tracking the resonant frequency of the cavity to be measured automatically by means of a discriminator. This paper describes a method of measuring the small frequency shift of a resonant cavity, as a perturbation is introduced in it. This is an important problem on the measurement of R/Q of a cavity or the interaction impedance of a slow wave Structure. The method is based on the principle of automatic frequency tunning, i.e. tunning a reflex klystron oscillator tracking the resonant frequency of the cavity to be measured automatically by means of a discriminator. The oscillation frequency of this system and the frequency shift after introducing the perturbation are then measured by a heterodyne frequency meter. Analysis and exprimental result show that, by this method, the minimum discriminating frequency shift is 10-5-5× 10-6 (relative value) in S-band, as the Q0.of the cavity is 500-1000.. The tracking error is about 2%.

本文叙述了一种当谐振系统中引入摄动以后,量测其谐振频率微小偏移的方法。这 是量测空腔谐振器和慢波系统耦合阻抗时所遇到的主要问题。 所用的方法基于自动频率微调的原理,即利用一套鉴频系统使反射速调管的振荡频 率自动地跟踪到被测腔的谐振频率。然后利用一高精度外差式频率计来测定该振荡系统 的振荡频率和经摄动后的频率偏移 计算和实验表明,用本文所述方法,当被测腔固有品质数为500~1000时,在S 波段可以分辨的最小频偏相对值达10-5~5×10-6跟踪误差约为2%。

Considering the requirements of a monopulse radar to its microwave junction, the general scattering matric of the ideal junction, which satisfies the minimum signal loss condition both in the transmitting and receiving mode, is found. Also finds that when simultaneous tracking in two planes is required, the, ideal junction can not be reflectionless.Several types of hybrid junction; having been published in the literature, are discussed with connection to their uses in monopulse radar.

本文从单脈冲雷达对微波接头的要求出发。找出了在一般情况下,满足发射及接收讯号损失最小的条件时,理想接头的散射矩阵。发现对两平面跟踪雷达,理想接头不能无反射损失。最后对已公开发表的几种接头,结合在单脈冲雷达中的应用,作了分析比较。

This paper makes use of Z-transformation to analyse and synthesize the "α -β " tracker. In the first place, it explains the tracking equations of "α -β " tracker and a feasible block diagram. In the second place, many important indexes of "α-β" tracker are analysed and the value of the dynamic parameters a and β has been chosen from various points of view. Finally, optimum synthesis in which the calculus of variations is employed on "α-β" tracker has been done, and then the optimum tracking equations...
