Certain chromosomes of some species related to wheat(Triticum aestivum) had been found to be preferentially transmitted when they were transferrea into wheat. Among the gametes produced by monosomic addition lines and monosomic substitution lines of these chromosomes,those with these chromosomes were functional. The other gametes lacking these chromosomes were abortive, hence, they were also termed gametocidal chromosomes. The preferential transmit ted percentages of these alien chromosomes were various in accordance with their sources. Prefer entially transmitted chromosomes may cause partial fertility, shrunken seeds and chromosomal mutations.According to the genetic characteristics of these preferentially transmitted chromo somes, they had been used for physical mapping of some genes with the use of deletions caused by them, promoting the preferential transmission of some genes controlling important characters, providing a possible method to reproduce hybrid wheat seeds and breeding new wheat varieties with 44 chromosomes.

In order to screen specific RAPD markers of the gametocidal chromosomes and to investigate the DNA molecular polymorphism, 46 random primers were used in PAPD analysis of common wheat variety "Chinese Spring" -gametocidal chromosome additional lines and three Aegilops species as the donors of the gametocidal chromasomes. Products amplified with 35 of 46 primers were observed, and the specific RAPD markers of the three gametocidal chromosomes were determined, namely OPF-14 1300 and OPQ-09 800 for chromosome 3C, OPF-14 1160 and OPQ-09 770 for GCL and OPF-14 1280 for 2C. In addition, 162, 140, 154 and 155 products amplified with 35 primers from common wheat "Chinese Spring", Aegilops triuncialis, A. Speltoides and A. cylindrica, respectively, and 69, 87 and 96 products are common to "Chinese Spring" and three Aegilops species, respectively. It was shown that close relationship in molecule level between common wheat and Aegilops is revealed.

Three homozygous translocation lines were identified: T1BL·7Lr#1S, T4BS·4BL 7Lr#1 and T6AL·7Lr#1S. In lines T1BL·7Lr#1S and T6AL·7Lr#1S,the breakpoint of chromosome 7Lr#1 was located in the short arm between the area marked by clone MWG808 and that of ABG476.1, and the breakpoints of chromosomes 1B and 6A were both located near the centromere. 利用辐射、花药培养及杀配子基因效应已创制出一系列小麦 -大赖草易位系。为在其中找出可能的纯合易位系、明确易位所涉及的相关染色体以及易位断裂点的确切位置 ,利用了已被定位于小麦 7个部分同源群染色体长、短两臂上的 67个探针进行了RFLP分析 ,结果鉴定出 3个纯合的易位系 :T1BL·7Lr#1S、T4BS·4BL - 7Lr#1S和T6AL·7Lr#1S。其中 ,易位系T1BL·7Lr #1S和T6AL·7Lr #1S中染色体 7Lr #1的断裂点位于标记MWG80 8和标记ABG476.1之间 ,而 1B和 6A染色体上的断裂点都在着丝粒附近。易位系T4BS·4BL - 7Lr#1S中染色体 7L #1的断裂点位于标记BCD349和标记CDO5 95之间 ,4B染色体断裂点则位于标记CDO5 4 1和标记PSR1 64之间的长臂上。
