he remote responses in the global atmosphere to the positive SST anomaly in the equatorial eastern Pacific with different tropical convection heating are studied by using IAP GCM-2.The comparative in analyses of the simulation results show that the tropical convection heating plays an important role the remote response of the global atmosphere to the SSTA in the equatorial eastern Pacific.(1)Although there are always remote responses in the global atmosphere for thecase with or without tropical convection heating,the patterns of remote response fieldare different in the each case. The remote teleconnection patterns and wave-train structure in the remote response field are more obvious if the tropical convection heating is stronger.(2)Tropical convection heating is also important in exciting the intraseasonal(30-60d)oscillation in the global atmospher.If there is stronger convection heating in the tropics, the kinetic energy of 30-60d oscillation in the response field is stronger too.And eastward propagation of 30A160d oscillation in the tropical atmosphere is more obvious if tropical convection heating is stronger.(3)The convection heating in the tropics not only causes the anomalous circulationin the tropical atmosphere but also causes the atmospheric circulation itself.Strong convection heating is favourable to exciting the two-dimensional Rossby waves in the atmosphere.(4)The meridional circulation is more important in the interaction between the lowand middle latitudes for the case with weaker or without tropical convection heating,but the Rossby wave-train is more important for the case with stronger tropical convection heating.

By using numerical simulation in IAP-GCM, the global atmospheric circulation responses to the SSTA in the Kuroshio region and in the equatorial eastern Pacific in winter are studied. In this paper, the focus is comparison of the responses of the East-Asian circulation and climate to the SSTA in the Kuroshio region (border responses) and in the equatorial eastern Pacific (remote responses). At first, for the atmospheric circulation and climatic variations in East Asia, both the border response and the remote response to SSTA are all obvious and important. Since exciting the low-frequency oscillation in the atmosphere, the responses will continue for a longer time. The further analyses show that the responses of the East-Asian Circulation to positive SSTA in the Kuroshio region or in the equatorial eastern Pacific in winter are all the same to cause more precipitation in Huabei region in summer. And these simulated results are consistent with the observations. The tropical atmospheric anomalies over the equatorial western Pacific seem to be important to the climatic variation in East Asia.

本文通过IAP-GCM的数值模拟,研究了全球大气环流对黑潮海域和赤道东太平洋冬季SST异常的响应,并着重比较东亚大气环流和气候对黑潮区SSTA的响应(邻响应)和对赤道东太平洋SSTA的响应(遥响应)。首先,无论是黑潮区SSTA引起的邻响应还是赤道东太平洋SSTA所引起的遥响应对东亚大气环流和气候变化的影响都是明显而重要的。由于在大气中低频振荡被激发出来,其响应将持续较长时间。进一步分析表明,东亚大气环流对黑潮区或赤道东太平洋冬季正SSTA的响应都将造成华北地区夏季的多雨,其数值模拟结果与观测相一致。另外,赤道西太平洋地区大气的异常(尤其是对流活动)对于东亚地区大气环流和气候变化有重要作用

Based on numerical simulatin, two AGCMs are employed to study atmospheric memory for sea surface temperature anomalies over eastern equatorial Pacific The results show that atmospheric memory for external forcing is longer than expected The mechanism is that, low-frequency oscillation (atmospheric low-frequency remote response) excited by the external forcing through atmospheric internal dynamic process prolongs the effect of external forcing, therefore, the atmospheric memory becomes longer

通过2种大气环流模式(GCM)的数值模拟,研究了大气对于赤道东太平洋海温(SST)异常外强迫的“记忆”问题。结果表明,大气对外强迫的“记忆”比传统意义的“记忆”要长得多,这是因为外强迫通过影响大气内部动力过程而激发产生了低频振荡(即大气低频遥响应),使得外强迫的影响可持续相当长的时间,大气对外强迫的“记忆”也就变得相当长。
