It is needed to validate analytical methods and for quality assurance when assigning concentration values to in-house food analyses. Such reference materials will facilitate compliance with new nutritional labeling standards and laws. Our food-matrix CRM and American standard reference materials (SRMs) of food nutrition concentration values,as well as AOAC International prepared a nine-sectored triangle for development of a series of reference materials representing all foods in which foods are positioned based on protein, fat and carbohydrate content is described.
