 The eddy current field is such that it opposes the change in flux resulting in a force between the source and conductor. With this method the authors analyze the eddy current field in an induction ladle furnace and the force distribution in the charge (molten metal), and plot the corresponding curves.  In this paper, the boundary-value problem of rotor negative-sequence eddy current field and its numerical solution by the finite element method(FEM) are discussed. A variational formulation is presented and the existence and uniqueness of the solution are proved. On application of FEM to the above stated boundary-value problem, a method for formulating the discrete equation and some related formulas are given in detail. The convergence of this method is proved, and a block diagram for programming is given....
