The two important indices for roof classification are the inceptive cave-in span of the immediate roof and the sensitivity of the roof cave'-in'. In accordance with a certain number of observed data of roof pressure, this paper has investigated the effects of roof control by means of hydraulic supports under various conditions, summarized the experiences obtained in the use of hydraulic supports in China, and on this basis, put forward our opinions about the roof classification of gently inclined coal seams in China, selection of support types and working resistance.

And the model of pattern recognition of roof classification is established by using fuzzy mathematics theory. Based on the underground measurements and rock sample data, the classification program of the compound roof of the 7~# coal seam in Hua Zhu coal mine is proposed by using the AHP method and fuzzy mathematics theory. The results of the research have provided important techniques and the gob process in Hua Zhu coal mine.

本文应用层次分析法确定了影响复合顶板分类各因素的权值,并应用模糊数学方法对各因素建立了相应的模式识别模型。根据化处矿现场矿压观测资料及岩样试验数据,提出了化处矿7~#煤层复合顶板分类方案,为该矿的顶板管理、支护选择、采空区处理及支护强度的确定等提供了重要的参数和科学的依据。

On the basis of roof classification ofHuozhou mining district, having thorough-ly analysed two kinds of factors that influ-ence the class of roof: the factor of physicalmechanical properties of rocks and the fac-tors of ground behavior, the paper presentsthe comprehensive expression of roof clas-sification in that district and the soft wareof consultant system, and shows the fre-quency distribution characteristics for theground behavior of various class of roof.Itconsiders that the physical mechanical property of rock is the basic factor of roofclassification, wherein the rock strength inturn is the leading factor, which is corre-lated directly with the development of fis-sures in the roof while it is linearly corre-lated with the thickness of thestratifications. The classification of mainroof depends mainly on rock strength andthe number of fissure distribution groups.The class of immediate roof closely relatedto the interval of principal fissures andthickness of stratifications. Ground behavior of stope is the engi-neering factor for roof classification. Theclassification of the roof at stopes minedwith general method depends mainly onthe weighting space, especially the firstweighting space, then on the supportingdensity and dynamic loading coeffcient.As for the fully mechanized coal face, themain factor that governs the roof classifica-tion is supporting density and the second isthe weighting space. The type of frequencydistribution curve of ground behavior ofstope is the inherent factor for determiningthe roof class; in general, the four curveforms of normal distribution, double nor-mal superposition, double normal separa-tion and normal variation reflectrespectively the ground behavior character-istics of classes Ⅰ, Ⅱ, Ⅲ and Ⅳ main roofs.

本文以霍州矿区顶板分类研究为基础,详细分析了影响顶板类级的岩石物理力学性质和采场矿压显现两大类因素,提出了矿区顶板分类的综合表达式和咨询系统软件,指出了各类顶板矿压显现的频率分布特征。
