This paper describes the vapor deposition technology and the depositted TiN layer on the cold-extruded dies made of high-speed steel and LD steel. The crystal structures, microstructures, thickness, hardness and the bonding-force between the layer and the matrix were also tested and analysed. The use of this technology can greatly enhance the life of the-old-extruded dies and has outstanding technical and economical benefits.

This material is get from PP resin, siliceous limestone activated by coupling agent KH-550 and other assistant agents by means of mixing melt-plastieising. The producing process is extruding-die casting integrally at one time. The working properties of the press filter fitted with this kind of plates and frames are good. It is convenient to fit and dismount, and saving on filter cloth.
