The control of hard thick sandstone and conglomerate roof,which are difficult to cave,is aproblem concerned by the field of mining industry both in China and other countries.For lackof reliable guiding theory and effective technique serious roof accidents have occured undersuch roof condition with a large numberof fatalites.The unfavorable method of pillar-support-ing is now still widely used with the results of high roof accident rate, low recovery,lowlevel of mechanization, low production and efficiency,and frequent spontaneous combustion.Inthis paper,several aspects of the problem are discussed including the properties of roof rock,the basic rules of underground pressure activity and the principles and technical approachto the control of this type of roof.Our major points in this paper are the mechanism of highpressure injected water to hard rock mass,the technique of high pressure injected water tohard rock mass,the technique of high pressure water injection and long-hole pre-blastingmethod,and the technical and economical results of various methods methods for the controlof the roof. Finally, the author gives some suggestions to the techniques and methods for thecontrol of hard and difficult-to-cave roof.

坚硬难冒厚砂岩和厚砾岩顶板的控制,一直是国内外采矿界十分重视的一个难题.由于缺乏可靠的理论指导和有效的顶板控制措施.它曾给煤矿造成严重的顶板事故.目前仍广泛采用煤柱支撑顶板方法,结果造成顶板事故多,煤炭资源回收率低,自然发火频繁,机械化水平低,产量低,效率低等一系列问题.本文对坚硬难冒顶板岩性的基本特点,矿压显现的基本规律,控制坚硬难冒顶板的理论和技术途径,进行了论述,本文重点论述高压水对坚硬岩体的破坏机理;对坚硬岩体进行高压预注水和深孔预爆破技术试验;控制坚硬顶板的技术经济效果等,最后对坚硬难冒顶板控制技术的发展方向,提出了一些具体意见.

In the total coalface roof accidents, the roof accidents at coalface with hydranlic single prop will take about 95%. Therefore it is of great significance to have a well roof control in coalface with hydraulic single prop. Based on statistical analysis of field measuring information and lab researches and from a combined coordinate relation ship between the supporting system and material of roof and floor, it has found inner function relationships between roof to floor convergence, the cylinder compression rate of prop, and the cylinder compression.

According to mechanical performance of regenerated roof constitution, supporting design of face must suit the following requirements; protection of roof is the first and supporting roof is the second; reasonably decreasing supporting density is to get good supporting results under the condition of keeping to have certain area of protective roof. Setting load, max. unsupported distance, min. supported distance and control method are main parameters of roof control. The paper presents calculation formulas and methods of determinating roof support and points out safety technical measures to prevent from roof accidents. Theory described in the paper has been verified at No. 6 seam of Hongwei Colliery, where roof is regenerated roof by aids of injecting water.

现场实测和分析表明,再生顶板以“类拱”结构随工作面推进而产生周期性的失稳来压,来压步距及强度取决于类拱结构的跨度、岩块的块度及强度,并随分层次数的增加而衰减并趋于稳定,表现为静载荷作用。根据再生顶板的力学结构特征,工作面应以护顶为主、支为辅的控顶准则进行支护设计。
