The assembly model of the product describes not only the geometric information such as hierarchical and position relationships of the parts and subassemblies, but also describes some engineering semantic information such as assembly semantics, design parameters and their constraints. It can provide enough information to the analyzing design agents. In this way, the integration among the geometry modeling system, the assembly modeling system and analyzing system is realized. The integration framework based analyzing design agents introduced here accomplish complicated logic deduction analyzing and calculating tasks in the cooperative design process under the heterogeneous environments.

Comparing with traditional interaction, the VR-based interactio n is more suitable to express the abstract and fuzzy design semantics that is es sential to assembly modeling. In this paper, the expression and transformation m ethod of design semantics is presented, which enable the designer specifies asse mbly relations via abstract semantics during assembly modeling. The abstract sem antics is transformed to assembly constraints, and SCG graph (Semantics Constrai nt Graph) is proposed to maintain the assembly semantics and constraints. Thus, the design system is able to manage the assembly model in a higher level. In ad dition, fuzzy parameter is proposed to express and deal with the fuzzy design in formation. The fuzzy semantics based on fuzzy parameter not only provides the de signer a more intuitive way to express design intents, but also can store and ma intain design intents. Through the transformation of design semantics, the abstr act and fuzzy information can be processed by the virtual assembly system.
