The toxicity of methanol has been tested on small white mice. Tests on the methanol-gasoline blend have also been made.

As to chemical reaction as compared with gasoline, the charactristics of hydrogen is higher combustion velocity and lower energy needed for ignition. The gasoline engine indicated thermal efficiency can be increa- sed when the engine fueled by hydrogen-gasoline combined fuel. The re- sults show that the engine optimum ignition angle is decreased with the increase of the supplying hydogen quantity; the maximum excessive air coefficient can be added wit which the engine speed fluctuation is not evidently...
