The research involving biological and plastic mulching measures for corn was coducted from 1S91 to 1992. The results indicated that at the earlier growth stage of corn, the biological mulching could reduce the evapotranspiration of the ploughed layer and intercepted more surface water than the plastic mulching did. It also had, compared with the treatment of bare land, an increase of 2.1-4.7% in soil water content and an earlier germination, and an even plant growth as well.The measure of plastic mulching increased...

It, however, had a more serious weed harm than the check did.

于1991~1992年对玉米进行了生物覆盖和地膜覆盖栽培技术研究。结果表明:在玉米生长前期,生物覆盖能减少土壤表层水分的蒸发,能截留更多的地表水,土壤含水量比裸地增加2.1%~4.7%,表现出一定的抗旱保墒作用,苗早苗齐,比对照增产9.37%~13.52%,并可防止“白色污染”。但草害比对照严重。

The development of research of degradable plastics prepared from natural high molecular cellulose material was discussed. Cellulose material is abundant in resource and has good reactivity, excellent degradable property and non-toxicity. So it is suitable for manufacturing degradable plastics. Its research and application are the ideal way to resolve the "white pollution" problem in the present world.
