An analysis of the chromatolysis indicates that the rubrospinal fibers are largely crossed and a few fibers to the cervical cord are uncrossed.Furthermore,a somatotopical localization exists within the contralateral red nucleus with respect to the rubrospinal tract,i.e.the cervical projections of the fibers system take origin from the dorsal part of the red nucleus almost throughout its whole extent,the thoracic projections from the ventral part of the caudal five-sixths of the red nucleus,and the lumbar projections from the centro-ventral part of the caudal third of the nucleus. It also indicates that all types of cells in the red nucleus,not only the large ones, give rise to the rubrospinal tract.The spinal porjections of this fiber tract may descend as far as the lumbar cord.

Experiments were performed on 18 rabbits immobilized with gallaminetriethiodide.The animals were artificially ventilated.The discharges of 11parafascicular neurones and their responses to nociceptive stimulation were re-corded extracellularly.The nociceptive responses of all the neurones studiedcould be inhibited by stimulation of periaqueductal gray(PAG).The role ofthe supraspinal mechanism involved in such inhibitory effect of PAG stimulationwas further studied after sectioning the dorsal half of the spinal cord at T_(12) orL_1 level.The degree of inhibition(decrease in number of nociccptivc discharges ofparafascicular neurones)was 67.5±8.2%(mean±S.E.)before spinal lesionand was 42.9±8.9% after spinal lesion.This result indicates thatnearly 36.5%of the inhibitory action produced by PAG stimulation could bc accounted for bythe descending pathways while the remaining 63.5% is due to the supraspinalmechanism.

本工作比较了家兔脊髓背侧1/2进行横切前后刺激中脑中央灰质对束旁核伤害性放电的抑制率的改变。实验表明中央灰质既可通过公认的脊髓下行纤维抑制脊髓水平的痛传递,减弱束旁核单位的痛敏放电,也可通过某种脊髓上机制实现对束旁核的抑制。我们对这两种机制的相对重要性作了分析。用直11个束旁核痛敏单位所作的计算表明,在脊髓切割前,刺激中央灰质可使束旁核痛敏放电抑制67.5%,脊髓背侧1/2横切后,同样的中脑刺激只能使痛敏放电抑制42.9%。如以切割前的抑制率作为直100%,则切割可使抑制减弱36.5%,这一部分抑制应当是由被切断的脊髓下行纤维实现的,其余63.5%则可能主要通过脊髓上机制来实现。考虑到脊髓背半部横切不可能全部切断下行纤维,故实际上脊髓上机制的重要性不会有上述数值表示的那么大。

The results are presented of a comparative study between MRI and CT in 100 patients with Main and spinal lesions. The purpose is though a prospective study to make more definitive assessments about the role and the value of MRI in the diagnosis of the brain and spinal disease. More informations were provided by MRI and no abnormalities were missed with MRI in all cases.

本文报告100例脑与脊髓病变的MRI与CT对比究研结果。目的在于试图确立MRI对于脑、脊髓病变的诊断价值。结果表明:91例经过证实的脑脊髓病变,MRI均有异常表现,无假阳性与假阴性的病例;同一病例,MRI可以发现较多的信息,故优于CT。
