The speech synthesis is an important research project in the field of voice communication with computers. In recent years, with the developing of digital signal processing and VLSI, the speech synthesis, especially LPC speech synthesis technique, has make considerable headway. This paper introduces a microcomputer voice response system using LPC technique. Because utilizing the one chip voice synthosis processor TMS5220, the system is simple and more general the synthesised voice sounds natural and clear. We also introduce some applicaLions of this system.More deseriptions are involved in Lhe telephone number report system, which is used in the 114 Directory Assistance Stations and tells inquiried telephone number.The system has multiline voice outputs and can be interfaced to microcomputers directly. So it is casy to spread to other microcomputer information retrieval and inquiry as a voice response system. At last,we discuss briefly the limitations and way forward of the LPC speech synthesis, also some problems about the development of the microcomputer voice response systems.

语音合成技术是人机语声通信领域中的一项重要研究课题,近年来,它随着数字信号处理技术和大规模集成电路的发展取得了很大的进展,其中尤以线性预测编码(简称LPC)分析合成技术比较成功,目前正在计算机语声响应系统和声码器等方面得到实际的应用。本文介绍了应用LPC技术的一种微机语声响应系统,这个系统采用了基于LPC原理制成的单片语音合成处理器TMS5220,因此结构十分简单,通用性强,实时合成的语音清晰、自然。文中还介绍了在这个系统基础上开发出来的一些应用实例,重点介绍了114自动查号台报号系统,该系统把微机查找到的单位电话号码用合成语音报给用户,具有多个声道同时输出的能力;它可以直接和PC机I/O通道连接,故很容易推广到需要语声响应系统的各种计算机检索和查询的场合。最后简单地讨论了LPC技术的局限性和发展方向以及进一步开发微机语声响应系统的一些问题。

An overview of the development and the state-of-the-art of packet-switched voice communication is described. Many important technical problems in this area are also discussed. The necessity for China to do research on this field is presented.

The voice packet length is 50ms, and the packet just preceding the lost one is repeated as a substitutionin the receiving end. The most important conclusion obtained is that losing 25% of all packets is tolerablewhile the degradation of articulation of Chinese speech is less than 3%.

分组话音通信中分组丢失对汉语话音质量的影响还未有人研究过。本文给出了在一个令牌总线型话音/数据综合局域网上进行的汉语话音清晰度测试结果。测试结果表明,在收方采用重复丢失前一帧的丢失填补策略下,对于16 kbit/s CVSD编码加静默压缩,以50 ms为话音分组长度的分组话音通信,当分组丢失率达到25%时,汉语话音清晰度的下降不超过3%。
