Purpose To deal with the importance of microscopic examination and several factors interfering with the accuracy of RBC determination by UF-100 automatic urinary sediment analyzer.
Methods:Hematuria samples from 79 patients with glomerular diseases (diagnosed by renal biopsy) and 128 patients with non-glomerular diseases were examined by UF-100 flow urinary sediment analyzer to get all kinds of laser parameters, which were compared with the morphological results of RBC observed by light microscope.
Conclusions Urine analysis by UF 100 urinary sediment analyzer is a highly sensitive, easy and reliable method to differentiate glomerular disease from non glomerular disease.
The sensitivity and speciality for UF 100 urinary sediment analyzer and microscopic morphology were 93.7% and 80.5%( P <0.01), 83.1% and 87.3% respectively.
Purpose To deal with the importance of microscopic examination and several factors interfering with the accuracy of RBC determination by UF-100 automatic urinary sediment analyzer. Methods 331 RBC positive urine samples that had been detected by UF-100 automatic urinary sediment analyzer were microscopically re-examined. Results Among the 331 positive samples 79 were false-positive (23.9 %), of which 54 resulted from salt crystals (68.3 %); 5 were caused by parayeasts (6....
This paper introduces an automatic microscopic urinary sediment analyzer. A set of basic algorithms, including pretreatment and picking up characteristics is brought forward to realize the automatic segmentation of urinary sediment. This paper also characterizes the visible components in urinary sediment in morphology and has sum up 7 morphology parameters and a simple method of classification.
Objective To evaluate the clinical significance of urinary sediment analyzer measurement in diagnosis of the origin of hematuria. Methods Urine samples from 159 patients with glomerular disease and 213 patients with non glomerular disease were measured by UF 100 urinary sediment analyzer and microscopic morphology. Results The RBC MFsc, RBC Fsc DW and RBC P 70 Fsc of patients with glomerular disease and non glomerular disease were respectively 56.9±16.3 an...
