The fault diagnosis technology of the reciprocating equipment is developing comparatively fast, but cannot by a long way meet the need of practical application. And its developing trend lies in the research of general character diagnosis, information integration technology, artificial intelligence and network technology.

往复机械结构复杂 ,信号呈非平稳性 ,使得传统诊断方法日益显现出不足。鉴于此 ,将现代诊断方法分为 3类 :信号检测 ,包括振动信号检测、磨损物检测、裂纹及缺陷检测 ;特征提取 ,包括时域、频域、混沌参数提取及粗糙集特征约简 ;故障识别包括主分量分析、模糊识别、专家系统、神经网络和混沌神经网络。应用现代方法和技术 ,使往复机械故障诊断技术有了较快的发展 ,但这些方法多局限于实验室内的模拟阶段 ,其实用性还远未达到现场要求。其发展方向是共性诊断方法研究、多信息融合技术及智能化、网络化
