A new and promising diagnostic method to measure Ti is proposed and proved by means of analysis and computation of the electrostatic ion Bernstien wave dispersion relation in the ICRF for a hot plasma. It is explained in asso-ciafion with the theory of collective Thomson scattering. The measurement accuracy is discussed. The feasibility and advantages are emphasized.

A slow wave was observed except the fast wave mode converted ion Bernstein wave during ICRF heating in the UCLA microtor tokamak. We identify it as a linear mode converted kinetic Alfven wave at the cold plasma resonance layer by derivation and calculation of the hot plasma dispersion relation including second order finite Larmor radius effect and compared it with experiment data. By using multi-frame optical probing photography, we have discovered and investigated the large-scale "Horn Tip" plasma jet structures in the coronal region of line-focused laser-produced plasmas.
