In screening test we found some eerie (Ce4 + ) salts are sparingly soluble in tetrafuran ( THF ) . Using situable separation technique it is possible to construct stable lithium cells such as Li/Ce ( IO3)4, Li/Ce(SO4)2 etc.with LiClO4in THF as electrolyte. The discharge behavior (voltage versus time) at constant resistance and constant current are studied. The OCV of cells Li/Ce ( SO4 ) 2 and Li/Ce ( IO3 ) 4 are 3. 5V, 3. 3V respectively, while the operating voltage of these cells are all about 1.3V....

Particularly, the constant-cur rent V-t curves of cell Li/Ce (IO3)4 show "∽" shape at some cases. The automatic voltage-lifting ( about 0.01V per 15 min. ) during discharge is quite seldom. This means the polarization resistance decrease consistently due to some causes.Mechanism of this aspect is still in research.As a reference cell some results of cell Li/CeO2 are also presented.

Because of the effect of parasitic elements the output voltage and power transfer efficiency of DC-DC converters are limited. Voltage lift technique opens a good way to improve circuit characteristics. After long term research,this technique has been successfully applied for DC-DC converters. Positive Output Luo-converters are a series of new DC-DC step-up (boost) converters, which were developed from prototypes using voltage lift technique. These converters perform positive to positive DC-DC voltage increasing conversion with high power density,high efficiency and cheap topology in simple structure. Therefore,these converters will be widely used in computer peripheral equipment and industrial applications,especially for high output voltage projects.

These converters perform positive to negative DC-DC voltage increasing conversion with high power density,high efficiency and cheap topology in simple structure. They are different from any other existing DC-DC step-up converters and possess many advantages including the high outputvol age with small ripples. Therefore,these converters will be widely used in computer peripheral equipment and industrial applications,especially for high output voltage projects.
