The scale issue was a key issue in hydrology science at present. In this paper,based on the results at home and abroad, the major progress in China and overseas regarding scale issues in hydrology was reviewed. Then the current situation of research on scale issue in the field of hydrology were expounded and analyzed. The key problems related to the scale issue in hydrology such as hydrological processes of different underlying scale-up, observing scale in hydrology, and how to establish the link “bridge" for...

The scale issue was a key issue in hydrology science at present. In this paper,based on the results at home and abroad, the major progress in China and overseas regarding scale issues in hydrology was reviewed. Then the current situation of research on scale issue in the field of hydrology were expounded and analyzed. The key problems related to the scale issue in hydrology such as hydrological processes of different underlying scale-up, observing scale in hydrology, and how to establish the link “bridge" for scale and remote sensing to hydrology were put forward. Finally, the development trend and prospect of research on hydrological scale were discussed. It was pointed that, by making the best of modern technology and developing the experiments in hydrological science and the study on physical process of hydrology cycle of different scales under various environmental conditions within the national level or international hydrological science, the issue of hydrological scale would be settled and the research of hydrology scale would drive the development of hydrological science, which was of significance and capacious foreground.

对国内外研究的水文尺度问题进行了回顾 ,阐述了水文尺度问题研究的现状并进行了分析。提出了水文尺度研究涉及的关键问题 ,包括水文过程尺度、水文观测尺度以及尺度连结“桥”和遥感水文等。最后对水文尺度研究的发展趋势与前景进行了探讨 ,指出充分利用现代科学技术 ,开展国内和国际间的水文科学实验以及变化环境下不同尺度水循环物理过程的研究 ,对解决水文尺度问题和推动水文科学的发展具有重要意义和广阔前景。
