Significant correlations have been found between seed yield and K-content in the leaf of rape plant at flowering stage, when K-content in the leaf blade was less than 1.30%. This paper deals with the relation between the occurrence of K-deficiency in rape plant and the content of K and N in the leaf as well as the exchangeable-K, the slowly available-K and the hydrolysiable N in soil. Significant correlations have been found between seed yield and K-content in the leaf of rape plant at flowering stage, when K-content in the leaf blade was less than 1.30%. K-deficiency of rape plant was not only ralated to K-content in the leaf but to N-content as well. The symptom occurred evidently when K/N ratio in the leaf was less than 0.25. From the status of K-nutrition, K-deficiency of rape plant was determined by the amount of both the exchangeable-K and the slowly available-K in soil. When the exchangeable-K in soil was less than 50ppm and the slowly available-K≥30mg/100g soil, the amount of K in the leaf was determined chiefly by the slowly available K content in soil. It is believed that the K/N ratio in the leaf may be appropriately taken as an index for plant diagnosis, and both the exch angeable-K and the slowly available-K in soil as the index for soil diagnosis.

Complementary field investigations were also conducted. Experimental results indicated:The contents of various forms of K in Nanxiong Purplish soils were medium to high. The release of K by weathering of minerals was relatively quick, and the capabilities of K Supply and preservation in the soils were comparatively strong. Non-exchangeable K was an important sourse of the K nutrition of tobacco, therefore it should be taken as an important index for evaluating the roils in tobacco-plentirg district. The percentage of K contained in tobacco plant was the highest in the period of rapid growth, and the amounts of K absorbed by the plant in various periods were in decreasing order, harvest period, rapid growth period and early growth period. Both were enhanced by the rsjse of the level of K fertilization. For the Purplish soils high jn K,K fertilizing had no significant influence on tobacco yield, but benefied the improvement of tobacco quality; for the one medium in K, it had beneficial influences on tobacco yield and quality. The effect of low level of K fertilization was a bit better. K fertilizing to Lateritic red soil could improve tobacco yield and quality significantly and made the symptoms of K deficiency disappear, and the effect of higher level of K fertilization was more significant. The proper time for K fertilizing was the early part of rapid growth period.

本文研究广东省南雄紫色土含钾量、钾素供应和烟草吸钾的特性及其对烟草的产量和品质的影响,并以花岗岩形成的赤红壤作比较。于1984年进行盆栽试验,且辅以化学分析和适当的田间调查。试验结果表明:南雄紫色土含钾量属中等至丰富水平,矿物风化释钾较迅速。供钾和保钾能力较强。烟草吸收缓效钾量约占其吸钾量的1/3至1/2,缓效钾是烟草钾素营养的重要给源,应作为烟区土壤评价的一个重要指标。烟草植株含钾率在旺长期最高,而吸钾量则是成熟期>旺长期>伸根期,两者均随着施钾水平提高而增加。不施钾时,南雄紫色土的烟草产、质比赤红壤高;含钾丰富的紫色土施钾肥对烟草产量无明显影响,但利于烟草品质提高;含钾中等的紫色土施钾对提高烟草产、质有利。施少量钾肥的效果较好。施钾肥于赤红壤,可明显提高烟草产、质,施多量钾肥效果更佳。施钾肥宜在烟草的旺长初期。
