钼酸铵浸出渣(以下简称钼渣)是廉价的含钼原料(含钼14%左右)。按钼精矿∶钼渣=4∶1的搭配比例进行的工业性试验表明,混合料在外加热回转窑中脱硫焙烧,熟料用以冶炼钼铁,其质量达到国家标准和出口标准,回收率达到正常料的水平,可使钼铁生产成本下降700元/吨左右。
