以0.125,0.25mg·ml-1的人参皂甙Rb1和Rg1水溶液作为刚断乳小鼠唯一的饮用水,喂养4周至新成年。对照组动物给自来水,人参皂甙摄入量为Rb128.6及56.1mg·kg1-1;Rg127.4及53.9mg·kg-1。结果发现Rb1和Rg1均可促进幼鼠身体发育和脑神经发育,并易化小鼠成年后跳台法和避暗法记忆获得过程。用突触定量技术,首次发现较长期给予Rb1和Rg1可明显增加小鼠海马CA3区椎体细胞上层的突触数目(P<0.01),从而揭示了人参皂甙促进动物学习记忆的组织形态学基础。

研究不同限食水平(自由摄食、80%热能摄入、65%热能摄入)对昆明种小鼠繁殖的影响。于限食第30天及第94天分别进行了两次繁试验,结果表明:限食第30天时,65%热能摄入组雌鼠的受孕率及其它各项生殖指标皆为零;80%热能摄取组雌鼠的受孕率为45.00%,低于自由摄食组(75.00%),但无显著性差异。限食第94天时,65%热能摄入组的受孕率仍显著低于80%热能摄入组及正常摄食组(P<0.01);而80%热能摄入组雌鼠各指标与自由摄食组间无显著性差异。表明35%水平的限食能延缓动物的生殖成熟过程,并使同年龄组的雌性动物生育力降低;但轻度限食对动物生殖功能影响不大。实验结束时,80%及65%热能摄入组雄性鼠的精子活动率均较自由摄食组动物低下(P<0.01);精子畸形率随限食水平的增高而增大,两组比较,P<0.01。提示限食干扰了精子的生长和发育过程,并对精子生长具有潜在的诱变性危害。实验结束时,各组雄性动物的血清睾酮值无显著性差异(P>0.05)。
