Based on the features of poetry and teaching needs, this thesis is trying to apply content analysis, investigation method, and comparative analysis to discuss the teaching of classical poetry from perspectives like the significance of classical poetry teaching in the secondary school, retrospect and introspection, analysis of current teaching situation, and new methods for teaching.
However, influenced by the traditional oriented education the classical poetry teaching in middle schools, especially in senior schools, has turned out to fall behind, and even has changed a lot. It has not only fulfilled the task of inheriting the traditional culture, but also strangled the students’interests in studying the ancient poetry.
In middle-school teachers' classical poetry teaching class, errors and omissions often occcer in reading and explaining some words and literary quotations . So It appears even in some university teachers! This is because of the development of history and the changes of environment. Here six examples such as "Luoying"、"Nanshan"、"Liuhuo"、"Chuang"、"Ertong"and"Tusu"are cited and analyzed one by one in a bid for accurate interpretations.
