This paper discusses the effect of cam profile on the vibration, noise and durability ofengine valve mechanism—a long chain vibration system. Experiments were taken on aI-head 6-inline 101. 6×114. 3 mm. gas-engine with two cam profiles—one of original design,a composite-cycloid curve; and the other a new design, a sine-parabolic curve. The stressof rocker arms was measured and recorded with strain gage; and the film recording thestresses was amplified and calibrated by an optical projector for rough quantitative analysis. The results were correlated with theoritical, calculations using mono-mass dynamicmsethods.The resonant frequency of this valve mechanism was calculated, and methods of raisingthis frequency was discussed. The valve mechanism noise was measured, spectrum analysedand compared for two cam profiles. The valve spring surge was investigated with highspeed photography. Finally, a 100-hr. durability run was conducted using an over-speedmotored engine for these two cam profiles. This paper concluded with that the new profilewas better than the old one, and gave some advices on valve mechanism design.

Most of the highways in Yun-Nan Province is at an altitude of1000~2500m. The terrain is mountainous, so that highways are full of steep grade andsharp turns. Experiments were taken to determine the optimal parameters of trucktype EQ-140 suitable for use in that region. Increasing the camshaft angle from 104°15' to106°45' was found to raise both power and torque. The single barrel carburetor waschanged to double barrel differential action one. The total effect of these above changes is that the engine horsepower is increased by 17. 9%, torque by 12. 1%, andfuel consumption is reduced by 16. 8% on the altitude mentioned above.Road test was conducted at an altitude of 1900m with different engine and axleratio service tests were also conducted Data recorded included amount of fuel used,temperature of engine coolant, lubricant, gear box and rear axle lubricant temperatures, etc. to confirm these improvements. Raising the rear axle gear ratio from 6. 33to 6. 83 was found to be good allround, but further tests and observations are required to confirm improvements in fuel consumption during actual usage.

本文介绍云南公路的海拔高度等情况,和提高东风EQ-140型货车性能的途径。首先在海拔高度1500米进行发动机台架试验以确定较好的压缩比、凸轮轴夹角、与化油器型式,最后确定当使用66汽油时,压缩比为7.2,凸轮轴夹角为106°45′,和H201型双腔差动式化油器为较好。按上述参数改进的发动机与原型发动机进行了装车整车性能与使用试验。并有后桥减速比原车的6.33和增加到6.83两种速比,试验时测出时间、距离、油耗量以及发动机冷却液,机油,变速器和后桥润滑剂的温度等,证明上述改进有较好的效果。用较大的减速比也有利,但尚需进行更长期的使用观察对比。

本文首先强调凸轮型线设计的重要性,及其与气门链刚度的匹配问题。对EQ6100发动机的气门系统进行了分析,发现它的薄弱环节,改进后试验,得到良好的结果。 本文还提出气门链刚度的测定方法,为了直提出柔度分配率的概念和其计算公式。
