The optimal smoothing of VBR at present has become an important research area. To stored video, pre buffering is the most efficient and feasible method. In terms of the basement of VBR stream smoothing schedule for gaining satiable network′s QoS, in the paper we introduce the methods of VBR stream re smoothing schedule and buffer computing which is based on the characteristics of disk storage system access to data in elementary physic disk block. The paper first presents a disk I/O schedule algorithm that considers one elementary physic disk block as buffer size, than gives another disk I/O schedule algorithm whose time complexity is O(n ) and buffer computing in the special situation where the access unit is not more than a value.

To address the issues of meeting delay-constrained video streaming over Internet, this paper presents an end-to-end adaptive transmission approach without any modification to the Internet infrastructure. The design emphasis is on trying to obtain the best quality of video reception possible in the absence of network QoS guarantees. According to the estimation of available bandwidth and network feedback information, the video steam sender could adjust the sending rate, and then achieve the best transmission efficiency. Two kinds of streaming services have been considered in proposed protocols: stored video and live video. Simulation results show the well performance of proposed system for Internet video streaming.

由于视频流服务对于网络服务质量有着较高的要求,而现有的Internet所提供的是尽力而为的服务,无法保证数据的实时传输。该文设计了一个用于Internet上视频流的端到端传输方案.整个方案设计的目的是在网络本身缺乏服务质量保证的条件下尽可能达到最好的视频传输质量。根据可用带宽估计和网络信息反馈,系统对发送速率进行调整,并提供两种视频流服务:存储视频和实时视频。仿真结果表明方案的性能良好,能满足Internet视频流的需求。

The compressed video presents the striking VBR characteristic. The rate smoothing should be considered during the streaming transmission of this video. The video maybe goes through some subnets that have different network characteristic from the video server to client, and new challenges add to the smooth methods. Discussed in this paper is the problem about the streaming and smoothing transmission of the stored video along heterogeneity network path. Based on the buffer provided by the node between heterogeneity networks, a smooth model and a smooth algorithm are proposed, and it is proved that the result of the algorithm is optimal. Finally an application example is given and the efficiency of the results is evaluated.
