In this paper we study the optimum signal design scheme which achieves the minimum biterror probability for the multiuser data communication system in which all the subchannels are uncorrelatedHomogeneous Random Time-Varying Channels (HRTVC) and the users modulate antipodally a set ofassigned signal waveforms without carrier phase or bit interval synchronism among them. We first studythe minimum bi't error probability which can be achieved by signal design for multiuser data communicationsystem over the HRTVC. The corresponding theoretically optimum signals and their physical realizability are next considered. We find that the physical realizable optimum signals' inphase and quadrature components should be complementaryly like a group of bandlimitted white noise. If we use these signals, there is no degradation due to the presence of other users, and the time dispersion of the HRTVC is beneficial and we can fully utilize it by spreading the bandwidth of the system or the time dispersion itself. In the limiting case. the bit error probability of the multiuser data communication system over theHRTVC is equivalent to that of the single user data communication system over the additive white Gaussiannoise channel.

本文研究所有子信道都是同样统计特性的非相关齐次型随机时变信道时,数字多用户通信系统中的最佳调制波形选择即最佳信号设计问题。用户各有自己的调制波形,各波形间不需载波相位及比特区间的同步。本文研究了利用信号设计在理论上所能达到的最小比特差错概率及其对应的最佳信号设计条件、该最佳信号的物理可实现性问题以及物理可实现的最佳信号。指出物理最佳信号的同相与正交分量应互补地像一组限带白噪声。其它用户的存在不会造成系统通信质量的降低。信道的时间扩散不但无害反而有益,可以用扩展系统的带宽(提高传信率、扩大多址容量、扩展调制波形频谱)或信道的时间扩散自身(增加通信距离、减小天线尺寸)来充份利用。在极限情况下,齐次型时变信道多用户数字传输系统将等效于恒参高斯信道中的单用户数字传输系统。

PCM/PPK telemefry system is a multiple-signal digital communication system whose structure is very simple. In this paper, utilizing the feature that codes transmitted by PCM/PPK are group codes, the bit error probability P_b is analysed and calculated under the various transmission stares, and the transmission error is analysed as the distribution of the prior probability is uniform. The results show that the PCM/PPK is very efficient telemetry system.
