We also discussed the precipitation mechanism & sequences of Chromium from the supersaturated solid solution and obtained the following important results:1. In the early stage of precipitation, the activiation energy of this process determinad by means of the resistance analysis, is about 23000 cal/mole (1.25 ev per atom), this value is approximately equal to the migration energy of vacancy in copper, so We can conclude that the precipitation process of chromium from copper may be controlled by the supersaturated quenching vacancies.2. By comparing the critical resolved shear stresses of the alloy before and after aging, the auther proposed that the most probable precipitation sequences of chromium are as follows:■

Pure iron foils were implanted with Fe ions of 27 keV at the range of doses from 2×1016 to 5×1016 ions/cm2. The damage structure was observed by CEMS. The results show that there are three sites: Fe atom without surrounding vacancy, Fe atom associated with one vacancy, and with two or more vacancies. The temperature and the migration energy of monovacancy were estimated to be about 100℃ and 0.9 eV, respectively. The vacancy thermal release energy was 1.1eV.
