On the basis of netting analysis, the calculating methods of the burst pressure of cylinder pressure vessels are presented. The method determining developed fiber strength is given by simulation test of a subscaled filament wound pressure vessel.Calculating example shows that the calculating results coincide with experiment. These methods may be available for reference or used directly by designers of the filament wound pressure vessels.
