This paper deals with the bionomics and controlling measures of the following three species of thrips infesting rice in Jin-bing: Thrips oryzae Williams, Frankliniella tenuicornis (Uzel) and Haplothrips aculetus (Fabricius). They are different in food habits: T. oryzae prefers tender rice seedlings while F. tenuicornis and H. aculetus prefer the flowers. Thus they cause different types of damage in the rice fields. This paper deals with the bionomics and controlling measures of the following three species of thrips infesting rice in Jin-bing: Thrips oryzae Williams, Frankliniella tenuicornis (Uzel) and Haplothrips aculetus (Fabricius). They are different in food habits: T. oryzae prefers tender rice seedlings while F. tenuicornis and H. aculetus prefer the flowers. Thus they cause different types of damage in the rice fields. Moderately high temperatures favor their multiplication but prolonged rainy periods and heavy rains have inhibitory effects. Their outbreaks in Kweichow Province were caused by the practice of double rice cropping or other complex agricultural systems. Their damages can be avoided by careful planning of the cropping systems so as to break their food chains. For chemical control of T. oryzae the appropriate time is at the seedling stage of three to four leaves and at the tillering stage. That for F. tenuicornis and II. aculetus is at late head bearing to heading stages.

This paper gives a preliminary analysis of field ecological system of the lu Jia wan Production Brigade at De Chin County and the Zong An Production Brigade at Tong Xiang County from the point of view of ecological balance on the basis of investigation.These two productive brigades are both located on Hang Jia Hu area at the northern parts of Zhejiang province.Field crop production,animal husbandry,silkworm raising and mulberry production,and fishery practised by the two brigades constitute a complex system of energy transformation and material circulation,and form a comparably rational ecological balance.This balance guarantees the increase of agricultural productivity and the realization of an yearly average production of over 1,000 kg per mu,with 7-8 years of stable and high yield in succession.This system of agricultural production substantially carries out the good practice reasonably utilying the soil fertility and simultaneously maintaining and even enriching it.This could be confirmed by the organic matter and nitrogen circulation and the improvement of soil fertility.The agricultural system practised at both these two brigades is one of the models of the field ecological system in the canal networks of the plain region to arrive at an ecological balance.Although there are inperfective and inadequate,it surely has many good points,and undoubtedly it provide instructive experiences,that will be helpful in the planning of the cropping systems on the farms.Thus it is worthy of consideration.

本文在调查研究的基础上,以生态平衡的观点,对浙江北部杭嘉湖地区的德清县陆家湾大队与桐乡县众安大驮的农田生态系统作了初步分析。 这两个大队的大田作物生产、畜牧业、蚕桑业、渔业构成了一个复杂的能量转化和物质循环系统,形成了较为合理的生态平衡,从而保证了提高农业生产力,实现连续七、八年每年粮食平均亩产超过2000斤的持续稳产高产,并做到了用地与养地相结合。这可以从有机物质、氮素的循环和土壤肥力因素的改善得到证明。 这两个大队是平原水网地区农田生态系统生态平衡的一种模式,虽然它们还有不足之处,但确有很多优点和经验,能给我们启发,值得学习与提倡。
